We are loving spring!! It finally arrived about halfway through the month and we were happy to open the windows and soak up the sun! Grandma (aka Mamo) was gone for the first week of this month, she was in Washington state spending time with Grandma and Grandpa, we were all jealous! But, Beau got a great experience spending some time with new babysitters!! He went over to our nighbors and had a blast with the kids over there. And then spent some time on the farm with Dylan, Carly and Aunt Becky! I was worried that he might give them a run for their money or ear plugs, but he did great!! Just goes to show, he is growing up and ok with leaving mommy, daddy and mamo. He loves being outside and playing with the kids in the neighborhood, and thanks to the weather, he was able to do just that.
On the 19th we celebrated Tom's birthday, now at 33, just as young as ever, or so he thinks!! Some friends from Norfolk came up and we had a good weekend for his big day. But, the weekend was not without excitement, Beau got his first battlescar. He decided to boogieboard down the deck stairs on the babygate! I found him at the bottom of the stairs with two deep cuts over his right eye. I tried not to panic, but got him to the ER and he got away with only 6 stiches!! He was such a trooper! Even laughing and talking in the car on the way to the hospital! Just the first of many to come.

Squeeze it all in!!
Things have been busy around the Sargent house. February found mommy one year older at now a solid 30!! I was surprised by my girlfriends from Virgina Beach who came and decorated the house, cooked us dinner and treated me to a pedicure! It was so nice to just spend time with my friends. Oh how times have changed as well as our lifestyles!! We were all asleep by 10:30 on Friday night!! (party animals, uh?).
Beau had a rough month. He had an eye surgery to correct his strabismis(eyes turning in) in both eyes. He came out fighting and very upset that he wasn't with mommy and daddy, but settled down on the way home. The only visible scar was the redness in his eyes for about two weeks. We were all so pleased with the results and never realized just how far his eyes did turn in, we were just blinded by love!
We have been enjoying the melting snow and look forward to being outside soon!

What happened to January!!???
Well, it came and went. We had a pretty good start to our new year. We enjoyed a New Year's eve party with our neighbors and then settled in to 2010. Beau is doing great!! He surprises us everyday with new discoveries and things he can get in to. He loves to climb onto the chairs in the kitchen and has even made it on top of the table before we can stop him. He seems to think it is pretty funny when we scoop him off. It's hard not to laugh when he gets so tickled by himself.
He is doing well with his walking and has almost got up to a run. He usually gets ahead of himself and finds the floor, but he is getting better. His new words are "hi" "bye" and "cool". He still loves to say alot of animal sounds and loves to listen to music and dance when he hears a song.
We are still digging out from several snow storms, Beau is loving it and we are shoveling it!!

Happy New Year!! 2010
Well, January 2010 and we are still here! We had a great New Years with a little get together at our house with all of our neighbors. We played games and ate way too much food!! But a good time was had by all. We enjoy having such a great neighborhood to live in and good people as our friends.
We are looking forward to a great new year, Tom will be 33 this year, Katie is saying goodbye to her 20's and hello to 30!! Yikes. And Beau will be 3!! I think we need to play the lotto with those numbers!!

Merry Christmas!! 2009
We were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa Claus!! Beau must have been a very good boy! We woke up to a treefull of presents and lots of new toys. Beau was really interested in a vacuum that Santa brought. I only wished it actually worked, he vacuumed so much, that my floor would have been really clean!! He really enjoyed playing with his new trucks, matchbox cars and a light up spin top. Tom got some new clothes, Beau bought daddy a new pocket knife and some hats. Mommy got a wonderful snowbabies ornament with Sydney's name on it, very sweet from Tom. And also a new Pandora bracelet with three charms. It was a great Christmas.
Beau found out his stocking actually had candy in it and he didn't stop! He wanted to eat all of it at once. He loves chocolate! We enjoyed a nice dinner with Mamo and Poppop and then Becky and Brian came over and we played a new game we got.
We did have snow on the ground, but it rained, but we counted it as a white Christmas anyway!
